Since when has Leap Day become such a huge day? Even 30 Rock came out with an episode for Leap Day! Go watch on hulu.com, it is so good. I just cannot remember when Leap Day became a "holiday". People all over Facebook were wishing others a "Happy Leap Day". Just a tad strange.
Then to top it all off, there are rumors that Snookie is preggers?!? Holy cow. The world is over as we know it, if she and her crazy boyfriend are going to start reproducing. (We all know that if it were true, it was unexpected). It makes me shudder a little to think this girl (since she continues to act like one haha) who just said on national television the other night, that she "felt like breaking a law or two"; could possibly even be allowed to have a child. It baffles me.
Today was just such a strange day, the weather stunk. Everyone overreacted like usual and thought we were gonna get a ton of snow. I'll admit I thought we might get the snow too. Rain. All it did was rain and rain. I would rather it be a thunder storm than what we had, it was just a blah day. Which didn't help us here at home, because everyone down to little Charlie has been feeling cruddy. Mom is still in pain, I've got a infection and am in pain, dad's back has been a mess, and Charlie has been throwing up everywhere!
We're a mess!
I think he agrees :)

Charlie dances :)
Monday: Wishlist
Maybe it is the fact I just found out my tax refund is $445, or maybe it is a new found desire to be even more economically conscious, but I have decided a few things today. First of all, I've decided that I am going to try to eat out as little as humanly possible. I went to the grocery store yesterday and bought some stuff for the week, so I should be good. I want to see how long I can go for, and it should save me a lot.
The second thing I decided, is that after I pay for Charlie's neutering (haha) I plan on saving up money in general but also for a new purse and wallet. Charlie ruined my other purse, as I've mentioned, so I need a new cross body bag and I've narrowed it down to two.
The top one is from JCrew and called the Baby Brompton. It isn't as small as you might think, it's actually a really decent size and the shape is awesome. There is just a lot of white space on top of the photo. Then the second is from Coach, it is called the Madison Fashion Swingpack. I adore the shape of it and it too is a pretty decent size. Both are under $200 which is why I think it is a reasonable amount to save up for. I'm only going to buy one for now, but maybe in another few months I'll get the other if I still love it. I saw one cross body by another brand that I fell in love with but for $400+, there was no way in hell I was going to spend my money on that.
As for wallets, I really found one design I liked I just don't know what color I want. This is one of the colors I am thinking of, but this is just so you can see what it looks like:
Lastly, I really want to save up eventually for some more make-up brushes from Sigma. I have one of their sets and they are incredible. I love the new sets of brushes they've come out with too, in particular I want the Premium Professional Kit:
And then I really want to try their Synthetic Essentials Kit, which is all high definition brushes:
Some of you may be thinking okay that's too much, you don't need all those make-up brushes. But believe it or not, I kind of do. I really use like 97% of my brushes and to have some duplicates would be great for when I mix colors. Plus, different brushes do different things, and with all the different types of products out there you need a specific way to apply them.
So yeah, I've gone a little nutso with the wishlist, but I think if I can save up the money myself, then I deserve to spend it how I choose. And I do not plan on getting this all at once. I might get the wallet and one purse together, but the other stuff can wait, I'm in no rush.
I do want to become a lot more economically conscious though, because I will be finishing up school soon and I don't have to take out anymore loans to pay for school so I will have to start paying back the ones I do have. Plus, it won't be too long until it is time for me to start thinking about moving out of my parent's house. I have my interview with Public Allies tomorrow though, so that'll be a step in the right direction for sure. Wish me luck!

Update
So I know I've been MIA lately but the last week of my classes was kicking my butt. I start two new ones on Monday but I'm excited for them because they are my 1st official political science classes. I'm taking political ideologies and American national government.
I hate not having anything to do so I'm glad I don't have a break off. Besides I'm so close to being done! Four classes in the summer and four in the fall and hello diploma!
My mom just had surgery on Friday. She's in a ton of pain because she kinda had a not so great outcome. She tore her bicep tendon and they didn't know until they went in. She ended up with a ton of stitches and staples. She pretty miserable but she starts therapy next week so hopefully she will recover soon!
Other than that not much is going on. I had the week off from work and rehearsals but thankfully I'll get back into the schedule on Monday. I like having a list of things I have to do and go to.
Well I just wrote this whole thing as I am on my way to NYC. We are on the train and this is not easy to do on an iPhone lol
Enjoy your weekend!

Monday: Nail Polish and Concealer
So I wanted to share the three new nail polishes I bought at Sephora maybe a week ago. In the last four or five months, I have been really into painting my own nails and honestly it has done wonders for them. I stopped for a while after my surgery in December, and I'm just starting up now but in that time my nails started to suck again. Just the filing and trimming alone kept them in awesome shape and helped them grow.
The colors in order : Leaf him at the alter, I don't bite, and Looks like rain dear
I've worn the gold and the purple (yes it is purple) and they are awesome. I personally like the gold more it actually comes off very sophisticated. I am looking forward to wear the green, it is such a beautiful shade.
The other noteworthy thing I bought recently is the Sonia Kashuk Hidden Agenda Concealer Palette. People have been raving about this thing for the longest time in blogs and on Youtube, so I decided to take the plunge. There is two shades of concealer, a corrector, and a translucent powder. I honestly couldn't figure out which was the correcter, if it was the one above the powder or to the left of it. The powder is in the bottom right. So I think I've decided the one to the left is, because of how yellow it is. For ten bucks, this thing is pretty incredible. However, I get a bit of creasing with it, so I don't know if it is my end all be all. I think I need to vary the amounts I use and just get used to it. I do still love my Bobbi Brown corrector and concealer though. So we will see!

Friday: Favorites
This week has been a long one, and I don't know about you but I am exhausted! I hope everyone had an amazing Valentine's Day :) I am officially celebrating tomorrow night with the boyfriend but he brought me flowers Tuesday :) I'm in the last week of my Chemistry and History classes, so hopefully all will go smoothly. I've been so bogged down by homework lately! I have a week off from work and rehearsals this coming week and on the 28th I have an interview so wish me luck! So on to my favorites for the week :)
The Laura Mercier Lingerie Eye and Cheek Palette
- this has been amazing for my make-up looks this week. I did a subtle pink and purple smokey eye that was gorgeous. The colors are incredible and the color payoff is amazing. The blushes especially are amazing in the color pay off department.
Bobbi Brown Rich Lip Color in Beige Gold
- the perfect nude with a hint of gold...this lipstick is outstanding in every way :)
Washington and Maryland
- Washington became the next state to legalize gay marriage and Maryland is right behind them :) Congratulations!
SourceFed
- this is Phillip DeFranco's (sxephil) newest venture. He is a genius and I love watching his show, The Phillip DeFranco show. This is a mix of a news show, comedy, game show, and more. The people he has working on the show as hosts and amazing, Elliot Morgan, Joe Bereta, and Lee Newton are some of the most awesome and funny people I've seen in a long time. Be sure to check it out and subscribe!
Angry Birds
-Facebook just got Angry Birds and my love for it as been renewed :)
Pintrest & 750words.com
-these two websites I just reviewed in my Thursday post, be sure to check that post out and then go see those websites in action :)
Well, that's all for the Friday post. Have a great weekend and don't party too hard ;)

Thursday: Social Media
So my recent love on the social media scene has been Pintrest. If you don't know what it is, it is literally like having a virtual cork bored for pictures of anything and everything. It can get a little addicting. You can like the "pins" of others, follow other people and repin what they put on their sites. You can also have separate boards for different things. For example, if you wanted to have a clothing board, a interior design board, and anything else.
Here is a picture of one of my boards:
The set up is really sleek and simple which I love and it lets the colors in the pictures pop so much more :)
Another site that I had discovered a while ago and just went back to is 750words.com It is this great site where you can write freely. It is sort of like an online journal. It keeps track of how many days you write, if you write everyday in a row, how many words, and much more. The goal is to write at least 750 words a day. It is a open white space so it is really easy to start typing and get carried away. You can earn badges on the site too for how much writing you do, how fast, etc.
One of the best things about this site is that it takes note of the things you write about, they call it "your subconscious"-- what your mood seems to be while writing, words you write a lot, and it sort of gives you a look into the type of writing you do. Sometimes an entry will be more negative and it will tell you that. It notes how much you swear, or how positive you're being. It is incredible how much you can learn.
The layout is very minimalistic. I think it is a great way to get motivated to write, and learn about yourself in the process. I really want to try to get into this for real.
Hope you all have a great weekend!
